Tenant Fees

This page provides details of fees for tenants.

 

For arranging the variation, assignment or novation of a tenancy at the Tenant's request - £ reasonable costs of the person to whom payment is to be made in respect of the variation, assignment or novation of the tenancy. 

For arranging the termination of a tenancy at the Tenant's request in the case of a fixed term tenancy, before the end of the term, or in the case of a periodic tenancy, without the Tenant giving the period of notice required under the tenancy agreement or by virtue of any rule of law - £ loss suffered by the landlord plus the reasonable costs of the letting agent in respect of the termination of the tenancy. 


For loss of a key to, or other security device giving access to, the property to which the tenancy relates - £ costs reasonably incurred by the landlord or letting agent as a result of the loss of a key to, or other security device giving access to, the property to which the tenancy relates. The costs reasonably incurred by the landlord or letting agent will be supported by evidence in writing. Security device includes a proximity device such as a fob or card.

For failing to make a payment of rent in full before the end of the period of 14 days beginning with the date (“the due date”) on which the payment is required to be made in accordance with the tenancy agreement - £ for each day after the due date for which the rent remains unpaid, an annual percentage rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate of the amount of rent that remains unpaid at the end of that day.
